Life is Gucci.
The week kicked off with Gucci's Love Parade, a stunning display of feathery, 70's infused artistry that shut down Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame and featured over 100 looks and 12 celebrity models that included Jared Leto, Macauley Culkin, and Jodie Turner Smith.

Gucci is making a strong push to underline their brand identity, perhaps in anticipation of the House of Gucci Film set to hit theaters later this month.
Gucci is becoming an adjective, synonymous with glamour, love, beautiful people, and good times. In the end, all you need is love.
In the continuing merge of Hip Hop and Luxury, streetwear brand Supreme recently teased a potential collaboration with jeweler Tiffany & Co.

Since Tiffany's acquisition from LVMH, they have gone significantly more 'urban', first tapping the likes of Beyonce and Jay Z as faces of the brand, then partnering with Supreme. I can't wait to see what this unexpected collaboration produces.
Lastly, Kanye West did a rare almost 3 hour long interview with rapper N.O.R.E. DJ FNEFN.
In addition to him name dropping at least 50 influential people, he also offered some insight on his allegiance to Balenciaga, citing that current Balenciaga Creative Director Demna Gvasalia was part of the design team for Yeezy Season 1. For the past few months, he has been working closely with the brand, even asking for a pop up shop, holding pieces that both he and (still) wife Kim Kardashian West would wear. His love for the brand is so salient that he wore only Balenciaga for this interview. It helps to explain why Kim Kardashian West has been making the streets her own personal Balenciaga runway in head turning looks.

More than the many names 'Ye drops, and the shots fired, what rang true the most were his love and devotion to his wife and family. He said that FaceTime calls from his first born, North, are his definition of 'Home," (he professes to be homeless and living mostly off the good graces of his network) and he proudly sported a necklace boasting the names of his children (which will undoubtedly be replicated or sell out once it hits the market).
In the end, we can only hope that everything ends in love. A formal reconciliation of Mr. and Mrs. West might be just what the fashion industry needs.
